Data usage monitoring
#1

So my internet got cut off and now I'm using my phone's Mobile HotSpot until I get it back on Wednesday, my question is what stuff can I do and not go over my data plan (2GB)? Any program out there to monitor your data usage?

Thanks in advance.

On Android there's a feature that monitors/tracks/logs your data usage (/home/settings/wireless & networks/data usage). You can see how much data you used according to your phone during a start and an end point of dates.

To save data, use Opera (Beta) and it's Turbo Boost option - saves approximately 60% percent of data.

If you're constantly using 2 GB with normal browsing as a hotspot, you're going to fly through 2 GB. I would think that your carrier would provide some kind of monitoring, but do keep in mind that data can be delayed for a bit, so it's not always spot-on.

Thanks you two, found a software that tracks everything pretty good, GlassWire, I'm at 10 MB atm :P

Any ideas what I could do until Wednesday and won't use all my data?

Go out with your friends & family, script, play games that work offline.
