Stay away from the people advertising their hosts here, they're generally sketchy, don't know much about the hosting industry, and won't be up in a year from now.
OVH's "Cloud" range in their VPS's are generally thought of to be decent for the price - ovh.com
NFO is great as well - nfoservers.com
Other than that, use ******/forum search to find the hundreds of threads like this and read the responses, if they're within a year old then the input is probably still valid.

There's no relation between me and Contabo company. I just wanted to help that guy, by sharing with him the link. OVH may provide better services and proection, but it's far more expensive than Contabo and I am quite sure that not anyone can afford purchasing those plans. Also, Contabo has one of the best performance-price reference.
