Can you tell me which is the best screen recorder for games (in this case gtaa-mp)

I've tried out several ones, but they always lag when I play them.
I've played them in VLC (VideoLan) and Winamp, but they both lag.

The one I know I've tried is;

• CamStudio
• Fraps
• Screen Recorder Gold

Please tell me which is the one with high quality, but no lag.

My specs are:

• Asus M3N-78
• Asus GeForce 8600GT 512mb
• AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.8GHz
• Corsair Powersupply 650W Black, ATX/EPS
• 2048MB RAM
• WinXP Pro SP3

I've always used Fraps and it's never let me down, But I have the full version so it may be better quality then the free trial.

Fraps is by far the best IG screen recoding program out there.

Hypercam(registered) is good too when you want to record your screen not in-game.

Fraps full version worked fully.
But I had to download the newest VLC to get it to work. :P

I use ZDSoft Game Recorder with the Xfire video codecs. Although i have a registered version of Game Recorder, so i don't know if you can use different codecs with the free version.

Don't record with Full size, try half size instead. Almost the same quality and even no lag ingame!

FRAPS only lags if you don't know how to set the FPS.
