Hosting Memory/Compatibility question
#1

I just bought a VPS with 128 MB Ram, 500 Bandwitdh, 10 GB Disk Space and operating on Linux, it should be good having a SA:MP Server in Hosted Tab with 100 Slots?, It will lag or crash? Thanks to all Answers.
128MB RAM, 10GB Disk space, i7 CPU and 500 GB bandwidth. It's enough for 100 players in the server? Gamemode size is about 4-5 mb.

I think it will lag. 128mb ram is old and it ain't durable so i suggest you upgrade to atleast 1GB.

128mb of ram is OLD and NOT DURABLE? Jesus christ what are you talking about? I'm 100% sure you have no idea.

A linux-based vps with 128mb RAM will be fine as long as you don't have anything else like a web server/voice server that's using up other resources. SA-MP server uses very little memory with a reasonable script and few NPCs. The bottleneck will be CPU usage if you have a few players.

I'm not sure if you meant 100 slots or 100 players actually on the server, but note that the SA-MP server uses tiny amounts of CPU and memory when you don't have any players online. 100 players would definitely push a 128mb vps (probably would run out of memory), but I think if you have a server with 100 players, you can get players to donate a few dollars each month for a better VPS.

128MB can easily handle 100 players + sscanf/streamer/irc/mysql plugins. Stop posting bullshit.

If you're hosting the mySQL server locally on the VPS you won't be-able to handle that 100 players.

Plain SA-MP server will run fine, but a MySQL server will be pushing it. Especially if left with the default configuration. I run two SA-MP servers (one live, one development) on a 256 MB VPS which also runs a MySQL server and nginx webserver. I had to tone down both of them quite a bit to stop them hogging memory. In the end it all works just fine and I haven't experienced any noticeable lag.

Definitely do not install Apache as that is a major resource hog. If you install phpMyAdmin from apt it will install Apache, so beware. Nginx or lighttpd should be fine for your everyday purposes.
