how to start the server on putty ive done everything but idk how to start the server and get the ip
please dont send me any guide links as i can get anything from it..

As you can see, from that lovely image, you'll need to put in your Server's IP in the Hostname field, in addition, make sure the connection type is SSH.
The default port for SSH is 22.

Once you're ready, hit 'Open'.

You'll then be approached by the login prompt.
Type in 'root', hit enter, and then type in your password.
Note: The characters will not show when being typed.

If all goes well, you'll be logged in.

then install filezilla client on your computer and create a folder inside root folder.lets assume that the folder name is samp.

When you finish uploading your samp server files .Dont forget to change the default rcon password.Then You can close filezilla .

Then login as root via putty and type

press enter

then type

chmod +x samp-npc samp03svr announce

press enter.

nohup ./samp03svr &

press enter

when you use this cmd your samp server will be running in background so that when you close your SSH client (PuTTY or something else) your samp server will be still running.If your samp server was not started ,check your server log using filezilla.

Your samp server ip will be same as your VPS ip .If you are running the samp server on port 7777.You dont need to enter the port of your samp server on samp client.

No, don't. Don't run anything under root unless absolutely necessary. The first thing you do on a new Linux installation is creating a new user with limited privileges (adduser command).
