Hey guys, I want to host my server with 100-200 slot only. Do you think, digital ocean $5 can handle that?

Digital Ocean is good if you're looking for cloud hosting. Which is what their nodes are designed to run. I personally use it if I need to use a vps for an hour or so to test it, being that they charge by the hour.

Anyhow, go with nfoservers.com. I personally don't use them anymore for my own reasons, however, they have amazing support, their nodes are configured for running gameservers and it tells you how much you can run when you sign up. The only downfall is that its a little bit more than other hosts (personally why I switched, though I do regret it)

Nope, if players exceed from 50 your server will lag. Also, it depends on how many lines of codes your GM has and the number of plugins you will use.

Well, my gm has more than 32042 lines and 7 plugins. Do you think it will lag BlueSky?

No $5 VPS will hold more than 20 players. Unless for some magical reason, you have amazing connection speeds, high enough ram, a super efficient gamemode, and a good enough CPU to run it all.

Yes, it definitely will. I'll recommend you to purchase slots from a shared VPS, but it will cost you a minimum of $12 per/mo for 100 slots.

Worked fine for me 100 players on 100mb ram, not the best network but it ran fantastic.
