pawn, unless you are using the stripped version of pawn which also makes it possible to use C++

Just you. C# is an interpreted object orientated language vaguely based on C++ which itself is vaguely based on C. Basically the number one idea of C#, objects, is not present in PAWN, it doesn't get more different than that.
