Hello people.
After 3 years, I decided to come back to the San Andreas Multiplayer world.
So I re-downloaded GTA SA, and SA:MP. I'm using a Windows 8 computer.
GTA SA runs smoothly, without problems. But SA:MP never loads.
I can open the program, add the server IP, connect, but when the loading image appears, it just loads the regular SP, and then crashes.

I know its not the best way to show you. But well, as you can see, it loads as the SP, without showing me the typical SAMP backgrounds... And then it crashes.

The "Game Version: UNKNOWN" is quite suspicious. I will try getting another SA.

I've had a friend with this problem, i cant really remember what the problem was exactly though.
Are you trying to install SA-MP on a steam version of the game possibly?
