A few players have reported this problem, and it's happened to me a few times. Basically when you jump out of a plane with a parachute, the player doesn't go into the "flying" position, he just falls, wailing his arms about. I'd say this might have something to do with:

- Fixed a bug introduced in 0.3d where a player might be able to avoid death if they have a custom animation applied.

A minor fix is to have your parachute equipped as you get into the helicopter or plane
