Map Question
#1

Alright,

I've been searching quite a lot recently for an answer about my question.

I haven't been online for like a year or more, I've been totally inactive in SA-MP community. Somehow, while cleaning my old basement, i found my good, old, trusted DVD case, and guess what, the Grand The Auto San Andreas DVD was in! And that's my lovely returning story.

Now, before anyone thinks I'm mental, i got a really serious question.

Is there any server with completely new map, city, island or anything? Is it possible now to map the whole city (I'm not talking about as huge as current map, but a size a little smaller Los Santos) and to put it into the Server, without worrying about the objects limit or collision errors or screen going through the walls or roads? Also, is the render distance same as before? Like, i had a situations where i drive my vehicle when suddenly, a whole building pops up in front of me. I crash every freaking time.

Thanks for your, I believe, quick answers,
David Snajder

it's possible to create a city nearly as big as LS but it will still lag and you will have to set render distance to small. It also depends on your host.

Yes you can re-map any another country but this is kinda boring.
Use Incoginito's Streamer plug-in because you can also extend pass the default SA-MP object limit.

Yeah, but how i can drop the lag to the bare minimum?

What if:
I remove the whole map first? Does remove object function brings the lag up as setting the object?
I make a city far away from the current one? Would that help?
I split the map into several small islands?
I make a whole new downloadable map, like the guy that was working on Liberty City map that was cancelled did? Is it possible to somehow force users that join the server download the custom map?

Thanks.

Removing objects of the normal world wont cause frequent lags. It might just cause some lag for the players when joining, especially when removing everything, as the network traffic for this already is a lot.
Creating the map far away from the normal map would work in general, but there are some other problems for the players when going far off the common bounds.
Some people got millions of objects loaded with the streamer, after all it just depends on how strong the server youre using is.

Thanks alot,
Does anyone have any other suggestion for me before I and my team start mapping the whole city?

Again, thank you very much!
