Lag spikes when too many players
#1

I play on Los Santos Roleplay, and I noticed when there is 150+ players online I get lag spikes when going through the city of Los Santos, sometimes out in the country too and other cities.

I tested my game on another high pop server, and got the same result. Lag spikes.

My specs:

GTX 760 4gb
AMD A-10 6800k 4.1Ghz Quad Core
8gig DDR3
750 Watt PSU

My folder layout with mods(NOTE I have tested without mods, I still get the spikes.)

Video of the lag (You will notice when I get around the mall/market region I get huge spikes.)

Maybe try to remove your modifications?

First of I would like to make sure that this is understood:
SA:MP is not a modification made by Rockstar. GTA: San Andreas was a video game meant for one player, and never had any intentions of reaching beyond 50 players, not to mention up to 1000.

Secondly, it's probably your PC as many big servers don't lag. I know for a fact that LS-RP doesn't have huge lag spikes near the mall all the time, and I play on an old toaster.

This is not lag spikes it's called FPS drop there is a big difference.

What this looks like is those vehicle models are loading when this happens try driving back so the stream out then stream them back in and see if it happens.

Thanks for the replies, but please read my post. I clearly state I have a good machine, and I have tried without mods before, it's less spikey, but it still happens.

Your ENB modification may provoke FPS dropouts, especially when is set unproperly.

Your PC seems pretty good, but have you updated your graphics drivers recently? You should try to check for any updates you can download.

Getting the same issue as well. My topic is a bit below yours.

Glad to know I'm not the only one with the issue.
