it says the lowest they support is windows vista but there has to be one for windows xp

Windows XP is no longer supported so I guess most of the programs won't work for you.
The solution is to get a new PC or to change your operating system.

Why would you STILL use XP? If your PC is not capable of supporting any other higher OS releases, then for that, you can just download this older version of FileZilla.
