Afaik you can use any float value for health and armour. But the players HP bar will always be oriented at 100, so if you got 1000 health you wont notice you take damage until HP go below 100.

Careful when setting health above 255. The server will keep this in memory, but the client (GetPlayerHealth) only reports up to 255.

I must say it's a real shame that you're a "scripter for years" but didn't yet realize that strcmp is quite outdated and that it's strongly suggested to use either ZCMD or YCMD.
