I recently purchased a Windows 8.1 laptop. I installed GTA, and SA-MP. I have yet to have any solution to solve my problem.

Basically I load SA-MP, Click to connect to a server, and then once it shows the screen before the loading bar comes up it crashes.

I have tried renaming the directory, uninstalling and reinstalling, I have no gtasa.set because it doesn't load enough to create one. I have checked for updates on everything. Not sure what else I can do.

i also have the same problem but i solved it

Goto Documents --> GTA San Andreas User Files-->SAMP-->and delete USERDATA.DAT.
If that dont work uninstall samp and install a new one .
If that also dont work download a new fresh GTA SanAndreas
then install a new (latest Version of Samp) .

That's not how to fix it. To fix it simply go to your GTA San Andreas Directory > Right click on gtasa.exe and click properties > Compatibility > Check Run this program in campaibility mode for: windows 98/ windows Me.

Then do the exact same thing with samp.exe. I hope I helped you with your problem

You've already uninstalled and completely reinstalled? If doing such for either of those fixed it. You might want to use a different SA:MP 0.3z setup. Believe it or not sometimes they randomly dud. Just click on a different one from before install that and good luck. Only do this if Chrome's didn't work. Keep the REP to yourself..
