How do some server has a description/advertisement on top of the server information?

I think it automatically gets it from the Advertisement Board on this forum as it links back at the bottom.

Well I've made an ad before, and it didn't.
And searched some server with ads, and it didn't show.

It's retrieved from the Server Advertisements section on this forum.
Make sure you put the actual IP + port in your ad somewhere (not just server.myserver.com), otherwise it won't be able to link up your ad with the server listing.
Once you've done that, it should appear there within a day or so.
