This looks so fantastic. I doubt it will ever happen though as the price of components will be so expensive. Imagine upgrading your phone to a better screen once a new one comes out.

That is a great idea, for the rich.

Each compoment will be an average of ~$50 something, and that is not even talking about the screen.
The concept is great but it will not ever be properly executed because most of the time you'll be paying for the brand, and not for the actuall product..

wow, thats a great idea. Ya, it's xpensive, but so are iphones at $700 without a plan, phone companies will offer some sort of coupon or something where itll only be 200$ like an iphone if you get a plan. Plus, its easy to switch providers, just pur in a new block.

Because I haven't upgraded my computer since '09 and it still runs perfectly fine. And with phones I think that would be much, much harder.
