I wouldn't get iphone. Only thing they seem to beat android on is generally better quality apps. All the mainstream apps work well on both phones so it's not too much of a problem. Android just has a lot of crap on it and maybe slightly less worthy apps than apple has, but that will change.
With an android you can get a massive 1080p screen which is much nicer, a load of customisation, and if you complain that there's lag when iOS works better on the iphone, if you flash vanilla android over your phone will work fast again. It's the custom ones the manufactures make that have them problems sometimes.

Personally, I think the 5C looks tacky... and as ususal if I was going to buy one I would end up buying the iPhone 5S as it's better quaility. I don't know if the internal specifications are the same however because I haven't yet got round to reading them. I suspect the 5C may have lower specifications, however if they are the same and you have a tighter budget I can't see a problem with it but I wouldn't buy one.
As for the guy above, the quality of the phone is what convices me to buy apple; android phones are again tacky IMHO (Based on looking for one back years ago). Also iOS 7 has changed alot and has taken ideas from multiple mobile devices and have implemented them much as android did however they;ve done it in a great chunk rather than piece by piece (my idea of update).

Quality, what's wrong with the HTC One or S4? And before you say the S4 plastic is cheap/tacky, it's strong plastic that can take drops.

Nobody buys an iphone thinking "this is a nice well-rounded phone where I have lots of options".
