Making a gamemode, if the US was invaded, would the Militia help or attack the US army?

For me im with the US Army, they realisticly would have lots more technology then local militia.

Looking at the current situation, it would be more probable that the milita would be against the army.
However in general milita fights for the country they live in. Else theyd rather be called rebels.

If the invasion came from within, yes.

If the invasion came from the outside, no.

Also...in the US there are 'militias' and then there are 'insane fundamentalists with lots of weapons'. Its not easy to tell the two apart sometimes
