Failed (libmysqlclient_r.so.16: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory)
#1

I am not sure if it's the correct section to post it but it's not related to scripting help.

My friend has a VPS and he's able to host a server for me. Everything is fine except one thing. MySQL plugin fails to load because of libmysqlclient_r.so.16. My friend tried to install mysql, I don't know much about Linux so I'll be waiting for him to tell me in details what exactly did in order to tell you. I've searched over 50 times, I've read threads but I have not find anything that I can fix my problem with. It's CentOS 5 32-bit. If anyone had/has this problem or knows any solution, I would appreciate it!

Regards,

Thanks for your response, but I've read both of them and they didn't really fix that.

For the first one, gpp couldnt be installed and the third was installed. Everyone uses
but I want libmysqlclient.so.16
The second is for 64bit Ubuntu 10.04, I use CentOS 5 32-bit.

Try the static version of the plugin. Latest one: http://files.mellnik.com/SAMP/mysql/...ysql_static.so

It wasn't necessary to bump a thread (which was created 4 months ago). You could create your own instead about your problem.

Anyways, the static version Mellnik had posted didn't work but after updating CentOS to 6 (64-bit), MySQL to 5.5 and using the version of R33 (static one), it worked. Though, I haven't tried R34 yet.
