You create a variable and you never use it. Use it somewhere or remove it.

Also, when I choose teams, the gamemodetext "America" does not go away when I choose either team.

The gamemode text has nothing to do with it. The gamemodetext is global, you cannot change it for a certain player.

No, gameModeText as in when you are choosing your class.]

This: GameTextForPlayer(playerid, "~g~UK", 2000, 2);
GameTextForPlayer(playerid, "~b~America", 2000, 2);
It doesn't change from America to UK it just stays at America.
