Issue with dedicated server
#1

Hello, I'm having a problem with the dedicated server that I am setting up for the community that I am involved with.

I have set the samp server up, but when I come to use "screen ./samp03svr", it starts but when I go to the SA-MP client, it's not appearing on the IP range(s) that are set.

I've added "bind x.x.x.x(with the real ip)" but it's just not showing at all.

If anyone can assist me, I'd be grateful.

(Also, there are no errors on startup of the server, it starts all fine, even with the server_log.txt saying so.)

Thanks!

You shouldnt need the bind if your using the main IP address on the system.

If its one of the secondary IPs, the bind is needed.

With or without, it just doesn't work at all.

The server starts just fine, then doesn't appear.

Check if the iptables service is running or not.
If you want to keep the iptables working, add the server port on it, if not, just shutdown it[service iptables stop]

If you plan on running several servers on your dedicated server, I would recommend installing GamePanelX or something. It's a bit easier to control your servers, and also to create new ones. You can find it here in the forums, under "Tools/web/something". I used it a while, and it's great.

It's for just 1 server.
