Can my laptop support GTA:IV?
#1

Well, I've been seeing some people who have numerous experiences with computers and such*.

Well, I'm planning to buy GTA:IV, to see how it is. I've never really played it, since my old laptop was really crappy, with all crap GPUs. Well, I have a new Dell Inspiron N5110. I have 2 VGA graphic adapters (well that's what GPU-Z shows me). The specs are -:

My Intel Standard VGA graphics adapter

My nVidia Standard VGA graphics adapter

My other details

Well, that's all I can get. Please tell me can it run, or not. I'm happy with either result.

*Bare me, I'm a newbie in GPU, all those inner details. Confuse my brain like fuck. I'd rather have someone advising rather than wasting time to guess some crap.

I'm not sure about the GPU, but the I5 should handle Gta IV just fine. Just don't push your laptop too far else it might get damaged cause of overheating.

I doubt it, you'd be lucky to run it on it's lowest settings but that would probably come with over-heating/damage so I recommend you just don't. What GPU do you have?

I'd really get a decent PC for IV though.

Yes it will! You have to install your GPU drivers though.

Umm,

There is a site called, CanYouRunIt

Search it up and search up for GTA IV... And see what it says

Why is your GPU-Z output all messed up? It appears you have a GT525M (Or maybe a 540M) according to your device ID. Reinstall your nvidia drivers.

Actually you might get away with medium settings, but as it's a laptop I wouldn't doubt that it will overheat.

I play GTA IV on a laptop, it doesn't use as much CPU on mine, but mine is pure low settings even tho my settings are worst then his.

you need to enable the nvidea gpu at least for there to even be a possibility. you can try but it might not work.
