DVI vs HDMI
#1

Hi, guys as the title says, I want to know what's the difference between HDMI and DVI since I've never used a DVI cable. I just know that are both digital but HDMI transmit audio in output but DVI can run up to 2500x1600 while HDMI is up to 1920x1080. Are there any quality difference?

There's no difference in image quality, the only difference is that HDMI can carry sound too.

It's pretty much the same as setting your laptop or pc to 600x800. As the size is larger, it's also more pixelated. With HDMI and AVI, the logos are smaller, so less pixelated.

I've never used AVI, but the video is probably even better by the sound of it.

Well, I'm happy enough with AV, so don't trust my opinion.

DVI and HDMI have the same video quality, HDMI is able to also carry sound, so aslong as you don't have speakers inside your monitor and are not hooking it up to your TV, DVI will be fine.

DVI can run over 60Hz. HDMI can only do 59.9Hz.
