Server Closed the Connection
#1

Alright, so what happened was.. I had the game running on a Steam install, and then all of a sudden, it stopped working, saying "Server Closed the Connection" when I entered.

I've got a CD thing and now I've tried again, same error.

- Yes, I have 0.3x
- I am using a Windows 7 Computer
- This started when I changed my name to Alexander_Marshal on a server.
- I've tried signing into Christopher_Houser too, doesn't work.
- I don't think I am banned.
- This occurs when I try to join ANY server, no matter which one.
- It worked up until last night.
- I've re-downloaded/un-downloaded/removed all/replaced all

What do I do!?

SA:MP Does not fully support steam, and it is said on the download page, so i wouldnдt be too surprised to experience some problems with it.

i don't really know because im not using steam install but i think its not supported in 0.3x,
in http://www.sa-mp.com/download.php there is a note:
Quote:

Please note:

SA-MP requires GTA:SA (DVD game for PC) v1.00 US/EU.
Version 2.0 of the DVD version can be downgraded to 1.0 using a third-party patch.
The Steam and Direct2Drive versions of GTA:SA are not currently supported and cannot be downgraded.
EDIT: late a little bit.

My friends got it the same way, using the fake CD thing.

It works still for them, but not myself.

It's never been fully supported. The steam version, that is.

Try check your firewall or security isn't screwing with it and delete any mods + cleo folder.
