#1

Hello.
I haven't launched GTA for a quite long time and when I just logged in today I saw a weird artifacts occur on my gamescreen.

What did cause these? How can I fix it?

Delete your gta_sa.set file so the game redetects the correct hardware.
Last time I saw something like this was in Far Cry, but that time it was my old ATI card overheating before it died!

I try reinstalling it tomorrow. Now I'll play a bit with graphics drivers, direct X, and all that other bullshit.

Does other games also give you that graphics bug? if so, try to reinstall your graphic card drivers.

Something's wrong with your gta3.img. Try to re-install gta3.img.

It's nothing with his gta3.img I actually have the same issue with this on my spare PC (only with player skins and not with cars). I never bother to fix it because it's my spare anyway. Usally these kind of issues are related to faulty drivers or a broken GPU. Updating graphics drivers without deinstalling the old driver can bring a lot of issues. Try to use a driver cleaner that removes all drivers and left overs and install the latest version you can find.
