logqueries ( server.cfg )
#1

Hello,

What's the "logqueries": 0 to disable, 1 to enable. This logs all queries sent to the server by players, it's considerably useful during a DDoS attack.

I don't understand this option.

Thanks

[12:57:59] [query:p] from 127.0.0.1
That was from me clicking on my localhost server on the samp client.
But a DDoS attack is when someone sends a server so many packets at one time it overloads the server/connection, and when i was on the server nothing showed. So i think its really just a option that lets you see when someon clicks on a server...could be wrong tho.

it's in the server.log.txt? query:i or r or c or p what's? Against on the ddos attack you see the ip/ips who flood?

Yep it just does that right in the server log. The different letters mean different things were queried like players online, server name, mapname, time, and anything else thats displayed on the samp client when you select a server. Its also how westies api works for querying servers. And as for ddos attack like i said before i really wouldn't think it would show anything since ddos is spamming packets to the server not querying it.

get the ips in the server.log text file then report it to your host simple

Um i am pretty sure this doesn't do anything for ddos attacks. When i set annouce to 1 so other players see it, then i get all kinds of ips querying the server, then when i set announce back to 0, I only see 127.0.0.1 when i click on the server on the samp client.

So reporting all the ips your reporting innocent people. When you get ddosed you get "Modified packet" warning in the server log(at least i did from my old server).
