I was wondering, if trailers were a good enough idea for up and coming servers?
And if so, how would you style them?
We've done one, and they don't seem to gather many players,

Barely anyone reads advertisements nowadays, I definitely don't think trailers are going to make much of a difference
Edit: Also the bus scene didn't really add anything and was too long IMO.

If you want to make a trailer it needs to be a bit more exciting than the someone jumping in SA:MP with FRAPS, no/terrible editing, awkward horror music stuff that is..

The rest pretty much summed it up already. A trailer should be short I'd say around 80 seconds max. I know that seems short but you shouldn't focuss on completely explaining the features, just show them little things and let the viewers use their imagination. That way they'll get curious, explore and maybe even join to find out.

I do agree there are many roleplay servers, but that's purely down to the fact that it's the best game mode. There's no other game mode the majority of players enjoy more.

Andromada stunting is a popular server,and its not a roleplay server.
