Dedicated server Usage
#1

Well, i have ordered a dedicated server a few weeks ago, and well, i have 4 vps's running on it.
But i think something is wrong.
Like, the centOS 5.8 OS without nothing, use arround 300mb ram, and the vps's(on overall are using 680mb ram) should do a 980mb ram usage on the server.
But the webmin / solusvm panel, shows 561.14 MB ram used, But on the console, shows 4gb ram used.
Do you know what's happening here?

top command on dedicated server:
Код:
top - 06:46:48 up 17 days, 15:20, 1 user, load average: 5.20, 5.13, 5.12
Tasks: 223 total, 5 running, 218 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie
Cpu(s): 11.6%us, 4.8%sy, 0.0%ni, 83.5%id, 0.1%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st
Mem: 4050528k total, 4006596k used, 43932k free, 82824k buffers
Swap: 4192956k total, 88k used, 4192868k free, 3361572k cached
The vps's continue with the same performance, and the server isn't unstable..

If you are running 4VPS's and they all use 680MB ram plus your dedicated server's 300MB ram that number seems about right doesn't it?

The problem here is, on dedicated server, it say's 4gb ram is being used.
On the solusvm / webmin, is using 600mb ram, like, it's weird

I guess you should contact the company support.

Isn't that just the usage of sulusvm itself?

Well, i've done a reboot on the dedicated server.
Seems fine now. the vps's are running, and the usage on webmin is 748mb, like on top command:
Код:
Mem: 4050528k total, 748784k used, 3301744k free, 31560k buffers
But it continues being weird, just because the solusvm and webmin reported 680mb ram usage, and on the server 4GB..
Anyways, thanks for help!
