Hi,
can I run a SA:MP server on a dedicated host like this one without any troubles?
Intel Atom Dual (2x core 1.60 GHz)
4GB RAM
500GB SATA 3,5" HDD
flat 100Mbit/s bandwidth
The CPU worries me a bit, but it could be OK.
I already know that SA:MP requires only 512MB RAM to run properly.
Also, what about the bandwidth? It will be hosted in a good web farm in Arezzo (Italy).
Also, would SA:MP run on Windows Web Server 2008 R2 64bit? Which are the differences between Standard Edition?
Thanks in advance.

first, it's a dedicated server, so ofc it will run.
And the server can run on ALL windows editions, but if you run it on linux, will have a higher performance than windows.

Yeah, most of my worries are about CPU, which is an Atom CPU and I've always seen it as a low-profile processor.
I don't need to host 500 players (no server in Italy has ever reached this), but I had an 80 players record and a 60 average on my old host, so I'd like to manage, for example, 100 players without lag or something.

Looks like your hosting on a laptop...
Either way, you'll probably be alright.

Sounds like a VPS.
SAMP runs on anything as far as I know, Never tried it on mac though Linux is fine.
You should be good to go.

If he said it is a vps, and since the moment he have a intel celeron/atom cpu, it's already a low / private dedicated server(the cheapest ones).
The cpu have arround a 3.40ghz performance on overall, so don't worry

It might run okay, but the CPU could be concerning if your script becomes intensive.

You'll be fine with 10TB I doubt you'll ever reach that. How much it generates depends on the amount of players and update settings in server.cfg.
