Why is it that this keeps happening?
#1

Whenever I start up my SAMP and connect to a server I get an error.

I have tried booting up the normal version of San Andreas and it works perfectly.

Really need to get this fixed as soon as possible so any suggestions would be suggested.

Note: I am trying to avoid having to reinstall SAMP.

I see no problem.

Plus, why is it so hard to reinstall sa-mp? It literally takes less then 5 minutes.

Well clearly there is a problem if that is showing up.

It is trouble for me to reinstall sa-mp because I installed it from the disk and I don't know where it is anymore.
Also, I have a really shitty connection so it would take ages for me to download an image.
Not to mention that being illegal.

Have you tried downgrading your SA exe

If not then try this one and replace it with the current one.

Then find the crash fix patch

I got both the patch fixer and the gta_sa.exe

Hasn't solved the problem.
I really need to get this fixed before tomorrow.

Any other suggestions?

Do you have any map mods installed into GTA SA?

And have you reinstalled GTA SA besides SA-MP?

Crash occurs due to some external program. Could be anything really. Steam, XFire, Skype, ... whatever.

Thanks mate,
Probably one of the most helpful posts.
I can now start look into what is causing it to crash.

Vince, you most likey have a Mod Installed withing your game that isn't supposed to be there and it keeps crashing.

I would recomend you downloading Game Booster, It is a Program meant for all types of gaming and you can set it to CLOSE all programs that have nothing to do with the game. PLUS it Makes your game a bit faster.
