Coding Prices ! $$$
#1

Hey sup ! I've got few coders already interested of coding some scripts for me and i'd really like to know :

What is a fair price for coding ? Please tell me per lines

Thanks a lot people !
Mike , noob pawner

Edit : Someone offered me 10$ for 5000 lines. Aren't that fair ? What prices should I make ?

PS: I wouldn't argue for 10$ but as i have a lot of coding to do, setting nice prices would be a must for me.

My tip: do not base the price on the amount of lines. Scripters can easily add extra lines that aren't even necessary just to increase their income. Pay them for the amount of things they have created and what the scripter himself suggests as best price. For example $20 for just some commands (/kill, /teleport ect) is a waste of money, but for a registration system it can be reasonable.

Yeah maybe 20$ for registration is a bit expensive toh.. But thanks guys. Someone said he wanted to be paid per arrays... Whats that?

Paid per array means every time he has a line like new array[20]; Basically, he's ripping you up your ass.

He said he would code 5000 arrays for 8$ is that good or no?

He's an idiot. You don't charge based on how many arrays there are. You charge based on how complex the gamemode will be.

You should ask them to make a whole gamemode for near about 100 - 200$ according to the script.

I'm questioning the skills of this scripter. 5000 arrays are a lot of (probably useless) arrays.

If he is to make a roleplay gamemode from scratch, then the price should be within $250-1000 and if not then the price should be within $20-60 depending on the features.
