Cool stuff to do with an Android Tablet?
#1

I have this Android Tablet laying around, running Android 1.5 and it misses the Market application, so therefor its kinda limited.

It's called Kendo M5, or Yifang M5 if you want to ****** it lol.

I've rooted it, but that's so far my experience goes. I dont really know much about Android hehe. And I dont either want to brick it.

So if you know some cool stuff I can do with it, like somehow manage to update the OS, get that freaking Market app, or anything (host a SA-MP server on it? xD), post your ideas here!

Btw, here's the tablet and it's specs.

Recompile the kernel from source and turn it into a low power home server. You could even run the SA-MP server Linux binaries on it! There are plenty of things to do with a low power machine. Look at the RasberryPI for example.

Would it really work without any emulation or sa-mp server porting and re-compiling? As far as I know, most android devices have ARM cpu(including raspberi pi) and they need applications to be made for that architecture separately, so sa-mp server seems like too much of a hassle

Do you have a GPS app installed? My Verizon Wireless On the Go Router and My Tablet make a great GPS for travel.

This is just a cheap Chineese tablet. It dosnt have anything with GPS installed at all. I think I found out something about a Bluetooth in it, but I can't seem to get it to work since the OS is very limited.

Btw, here's all specs about it. http://www.yifangdigital.com/product/em502.aspx
