Hello,

I'd like to start a server by myself, but I don't really know how,
Because i'm VERY new to scripting/mapping stuff.

My first question:
Is it possible to have a homehost?, So yes how.

Second question:
Which script can I use and may I use?

Yes you can homehost, you will need a server pack that you can download at www.sa-mp.com

and you can use any gamemode you can find in Gamemodes section.

Home hosting is an option, and very cost efficient if you're running it on a eco-system. But it's not recommended since it requires port forwarding on the router which could complicate you and scare you if you're new to networking.

Another con is network speed, you'll require a good ISP if you want your server hosted to the world. As some countries may have ping up to 500ms!

I've done some things now and I have a gamemode, Well, I started up "samp-server" but I get a screen and he loads stuff from my gamemode. How do I enter the server now?

go to your SA:MP client -> add the following IP to your favourites -> 127.0.0.1:7777 -> go test and have fun and best of luck with your scripting experience

Frist: To make a Home Host server, your gonna want to first download the Server Download from: http://sa-mp.com/download.php . Once you have done everything click on the server.cfg and edit it. Once you have done that press the windows starter.

Second: You can find a decent script to use on the game mode section.

Once you have the software install, configured and ready. Make sure you portforward your router to allow people to come in and out of your network without that pesky firewall rejecting them!

I have clicked on Samp-server and there appears a black screen with letters on it.
Does this mean that the server is up?
And so yes, How can I figure out what thte IP is

The ip is your ip with default port 7777 and yes if u get a black screen which doesn't close after 1 second, your server is working
