I need your help.

Wednesday, 30 November 2011 my mother lost her three year fight with breast cancer after it spread all through her body. I'd like to tell you a little about our journey, fight and battle. September 24th 2008, my mother was diagnosed with a minor cancerous tumour on her right breast but due to the location of the tumour it could not be cut away. My mother started chemotherapy a month later. In late August 2009, word was given to my mother that her tumour had decreased in size, and was no longer cancerous and my mother was cancer free, never saw my mother so happy in her life. A month later in early October, my mother developed another tumour on her right breast, but this was different. My mothers relapse of cancer was for her age an 11% chance of developing this cancer. Between October 2009 to October 2011 my mother had travelled 3 hours north of where we live for 2-6 weeks at a time 3 times for radiation-therapy, had every available chemotherapy treatment possible and every bone marrow treatment you could possibly think of. September 2010 my father took a stroke, which all most took his life. In October 2011, doctors talked to my mother, my mother was getting sicker and they told her that it is her choice to continue her treatment, and remain in the painful state that the treatment put her through and live longer, or stop all treatments except her bone marrow treatment, and live the rest of her life of what time was left in a less painful way. My mother chose not to have treatment, and started refusing her medication. No one in my family not even my father knew of this, though we respect her wish. November 27 Sunday, my mother was admitted into hospital after her left lung had collapsed and developed a severe cancer. My mothers left lung had 'died' and did not function at all. This was the hardest time, to see that my mother was in this much pain. Tuesday 29 November, my family surrounded my mother in her hospital bed with her doctor, we were told my mother hadn't long left in her life. They asked us(including my mother) where she'd like to die. My mother, short of breath but as loud as ever said she wants to be at home with her family. Wednesday 30 November. 8.30am my mother was transported from the hospital to her home. I was sent a text message from my father saying "get here now". When I read that, I knew that this day was her last. My mother was laying on her bed, with an oxygen tank, we all said our goodbyes while my mother was still with us. Her nurse left the house at 10.56 after giving my mother a dose of morphine to help take away her pain. November 30, Wednesday 2011 at 10:58. My mother lost her fight.

But we will not lose her battle.

I need your help, I am wishing to get a tattoo, across my heart, of a cross wrapped with the breast cancer ribbon. But I cannot find a cross design that symbolises my mothers fight. Can you please help me find one?

Utmost respect from the bottom of my heart, words cannot describe what you and your family must have gone through.

Here's a huge list of tattoos that might give you a decent idea, sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.

That's not what he was talking about. That link is for the cancer constellation. If you cared enough to read his whole post, you'd know he means the cancer virus.

Best of luck to you and your family. I know how it feels when someone close to you dies (of cancer), but not anywhere as extreme and devestating as this.

Anyway, you may want to talk with some Tattoo artists at a local Tattoo shop. They can help you make a design, and maybe even come with some extra ideas for it.

pagie1111, im feeling almost that you feel, because my dad and my brother died on a bike accident(same time, same day).
Well for me, i will recomend you to make a tattoo with your mother name.
It's the just thing that i can say.

My condolences for you. May you find the strength to continue with your life, there is always some light in the darkness. Live your life to the fullest, and try to be happy, I am sure she would have wanted you to become a made man.

On the topic itself, this one doesn't contain a cross but it does show her battle against this dark disease (without the subtext of course): http://healthandfitness101.com/wp-co...olor_small.jpg

Using ****** images I found a couple of pictures you asked for, but none of them would fit in my humble opinion.

I like this one as the most:

It contains the ribbon, shows a heart and I can even see two "arms" in the air, which could ressemble the mutual pain your family went through.

Again, I wish you and your family and any other relatives a lot of hope, faith and strength
