Cant connect, "server not responding"
#1

Hello. My friend has this problem that when he tries to connect a server in SAMP, it says in the chatbox: "connecting: <ip here>" and after 2 seconds it says "server not responding, retrying" or something likethis. He uses net trough WLAN and it works fine in other games but not in SAMP. He also checked that the firewall is not blocking SAMP connections. What else he should try?

He connecting with the wrong version, or the server is not using the version he has. Tell him to update or if it is a 0.3c server, tell him to download it. he can get it from here:

Good luck.

What client version do you both have ?

Was the server online at the time or did it say " (Retrieving info ....) " ?

Are you connecting to a valid ip and is your friends ip his own local server or regular / official server ?

why are you still trying to connect to 3c this will no longer work for most servers, you will need to download 3d or if you truely need 3c goto files.sa-mp.com for all old versions of SA:MP,

Why are you still using 0.3c? Anyways to be on topic -

If you are able to ping the IP in the SA-MP client then it's usually because the SA-MP client versions don't match. If you are unable to physically ping the IP / server, you may be firewalled by the server.
