Hey,
I would like to open this thread because I'd like to discuss about this topic.
A lot of people would like to have these functions, because it would make the object functions complete. But are there any other reasons to add it? In this thread I will give these reasons.
We all know that SA-MP 0.3d has a new feature: scripters can create up to 1000 global objects, but is this enough?
Let's take a look to the benefits of AttachPlayerObjectToVehicle, -Player, -Object functions.
Some people would like to create a lot of vehicles with attached objects to it. But what if people want to attach a lot of objects to these vehicles? Then the max vehicles will be exceeded very quickly. A solution would be AttachPlayerObjectToVehicle and then followed by AttachDynamicObjectToVehicle (= streamer). This will increase the max vehicles a lot. And many scripters would be happy with this.
But then, what about the other 2 functions: AttachPlayerObjectToPlayer, -Object? Sure, people could also create streamer functions of these two.
AttachPlayerObjectToPlayer would be insanely useful for let's say RP servers with over 100+ players. But why?
Well let's say we would like to add 10+ objects to each player. Like fake guns, bags, fake rings, hats. Then again, this player limit will be exceeded quickly.
Now let us talk about the AttachPlayerObjectToObject function.
I don't really see a reason to add this one. If this would be added, then AttachPlayerObjectToPlayerObject has to be added aswell. SA-MP 0.3d introduced AttachObjectToObject, so why not adding AttachPlayerObjectToObject/PlayerObject? My main argument to add this one is because it will make the objects functions complete.
Now let's skip quickly to the conclusion.
1000 objects ain't enough. If you want to combine AttachObjectToVehicle, -Player and -Object, the limit will be exceeded even quicker. So that is why we need to be able to attach PlayerObjects, so that streamers can (with use of PlayerObject) exceed these limits a lot.
Now I would like to hear your comments.
What do you think? Should it be added or let's just forget about it?
B.T.W., it could be possible that you see some small english mistakes, my origin isn't english, it is dutch.
