Most of you will probably know that Nintendo already announced their Next-Gen Console: The Wii U.
Apart from the new controller, they have also added some horsepower to (finally) play along in the HD-era.
(Specifications are unknown, rumours and videos* lead to believe it can handle some more-than-decent graphics in 1080p HD.)
But, what do you guys think that Sony and Microsoft come up with for their Next-Gen consoles?
My guess is that they will follow Nintendo's footsteps, and focus more on 'innovation' instead of just adding more horsepower. Since the PS3 and Xbox 360 appeared, the graphics haven't made a huge jump like they did when we moved from the PS2/Xbox to the PS3/Xbox360. (Besides that, not many developers use the consoles to it's full potential yet)
My second reason for this is that both Sony and Microsoft are searching a way into the 'casual market', look at the Move and Kinect.
So yeah, summorized:
I think the next generation of consoles will focus more on the gameplay and the experience, instead of 'just adding more horsepower'.
Discuss your thoughts here. No flamewars please
*No, the video was not pre-rendered. It was a tech-demo to show what the Wii U should atleast be capable of. If it will be capable of more is not known.
PS: Yes, I like Nintendo the most. My opinion towards the other consoles is not biased, however. My opinion is that every console has it's own (dis)advantages.
