Hmm, usually servers can get enough donators. Maybe they needed to add special stuff for donators.

If you mean the Area 51 server by Redirect_Left, it got pulled down by him because of some bugs and the fact that it didn't have a steady average player base. Redirect Left didn't see the use of putting more and more money into it, while the player base shrunk rapidly.

It could be that the server will be reopened, but don't get your hopes up.
