That is false, you do not need Apache at all. What you need is a MySQL server, you can download it from the official MySQL website which I'm sure you can find using ******, although Georgelopez1 was correct in some way, as those two packages do come with MySQL, but they also come with a webserver software called Apache and some other stuff which are not needed to run a MySQL server.
