Home server?
#1

Hey,
I'm maybe planning to make an home-server (Hosted from home) but, I want to know how much bandwidth it will suck from my connection? I got a desktop computer, with LAN connection. If this has anything to do with it; here is the speed.

Thanks in advance.Oh, btw; need any more info? Just ask.

Your connection seems fair enough to handle around 25 players, i guess. Not sure how much it will suck from your bandwidth though.

19.32 Megabit/s = 2.415 Megabyte/s.
It should do the job

I think it can hold more than 25. My int speed (dload) is around 15 and I was holding 15 players, and they all had 70-600 ping. Server had no lags or chat delays at all.

70 ping is already pretty high, isn't it? O_O

No. That's actually low for a ping during SA-MP game run-time for a player.

How is 70 high? At every server I ever played, players have around 100 ping average. 70 is very low.

Well, what i've learned from my experience, that if the ping is above the 70, the game (sync. and that stuff) will become very laggy... Hmmm :P

From what i have experienced, ping around 250 starts to make me lag, or see other people lag.
