Low Framerate on Windows 7 oO (0.3c)
#1

Well, this is my first post here, I hope itґs in the right section.

Before I installed Windows 7 64 bit i had Windows XP and the game ran fine around 100 Frames Per Second.
Now, with Windows 7 64 bit my game runs constantly at 25 FPS and when I use a keybinder, the bind doesnґt get displayed immediatly (It takes around a half second to write )

My system Specs :

Amd Athlos x2 6000+
4 Gb DDR 2 Ram
Ati Radeon Hd 5770

Before you ask : Yes, I turned off the Framelimiter at Video Settings and Yes, I tried /fpslimit 100 and my graphic and sounddrivers are up-to-date and Yes, I set affinity to all cores :S
It doesnґt help :S

Anyone knows what to do?

Windows 7 is more heavy then Windows XP that might be a reason.

Your computer specifications are not that good either.

Good enough to play this game in 60+ FPS. And the RAM isn't a problem either.

GTA SA sure isnt optimized at all.. 100+ FPS in GTA IV on max gfx and ~40-60 on gta sa..

Constantly 25 FPS means you didn't disable Framelimiter. Try to set it to off in advanced options.

EDIT: Didn't read the last part where you said you already disabled this.

Weird..

I have the same card as you so, it's not possible to get a low FPS like that.

Oh and thereґs one strange thing Iґve forgotten to edit :

When I press TAB to watch the scorebord the FPS goes up to 100 again

Options -> Display options -> make sure framelimiter is off, and set game resolution to your computer has to use and turn anti-aliasing off.

I turned the framelimiter off before and the frame rate doesnґt change even on a 640x400 Resolution with all low settings.

1. open Windows Task Manager.
2 .On the Processes tab ,look for gta_sa.exe
3. Right click gta_sa.exe and press Set Affinity. Now Check all the CPU(s) and click OK
