Hello everyone,

A few weeks ago we had some troubles and we were about to close the server so someone offer us to host the server on his machine so we procced, 2 days ago this guy banned us (me and my partner) from the server and changed the script for a crapy one so a friend told me to re open the server and send a msg to get the ppl back on the real server, we had now around 90 ppl and they like 35 so i want to know if theres something to do about faking name cause now we are CiudadMetropolis.com and they .net

78.129.221.58:7792 My server. (the original one)
188.165.234.196:7777 The crapy server that copy our name.

I hope theres something to do about it cause this is unfair for us.

Thanks.

Unfortantly. There's not alot anyone can do. There's no copyright violation as you didnt copyright that name legally. Everyone is entitle to use what ever name they see fit unless it's a violation of copyright, a DMCA Notice is useless in your case. As long as they do not use your script there's Sh*t all you can do.

I really doubt that you had 90 players....
And its hard to claim copyright because firstly, you didn't register your server name with the copyright office.

Second, there is nothing we can do about domain names because once you buy it, its yours and your can't 'return' it.

If you bought the domain name ({whatever}.net) then you are entitled to claim it back, as long as your name and email address were on the ns/mx records. It will be worth getting in touch with the seller of your domain.
