Hey guys, could sum 1 help me?

I got a problem. I downloaded Ubuntu Server (10) from the ubuntu website, but now there is a problem: Do I need to burn the ISO on a cd or the files in the ISO? And what do i have to do next? Because i already burned the ISO file on a cd, but it will not boot up. Also not via the BIOS boot menu



could someone one make a explaination step by step? ?

I'm already further than ever

but now.... >: ( when ubuntu server is installing, the installer freezes at the point: "Starting up partitioner" ... "Scanning disks..." It keeps hanging at 45% >: ( I left my computer on for about 1 day and it still didn't go ahead.... so now i stopped the installation.... does anyone know the reason for this?

how many program was on?

when i installed i had none program running

sorry what do you mean? Do you mean how much programs i was running while installing? None, because the installation is ouside the operating system.

or do you mean how much programs i had on my hard drive? that were about 5 or so, like firefox, VB6, and stuff like that.
