Which one you like better ?


Story about both:

Game Monitor: Monitors many games like Counter Strike, Call of Duty and SAMP. Lost its popularity and trust for often downtime. Still one of the most popular monitors. You have to add your server for it to be monitored.

SACNR Monitor: Was made by the famous server SACNR. It only monitors SAMP servers and it monitors all of the sa-mp servers. The uptime is 99% and it is really fast.

Which one do you prefer ?

I chose SACNR because its something new and its only for SAMP. Also, tired of seeing my signature with weird symbols cause game monitor is down. IRL

I prefer Game Monitor

EDIT: Why because SACNR only supports SA-MP and Game monitor supports almost every game

SACNR monitor was made by a member of the sa-mp community and is probably a lot easier to talk to in terms of suggestions/changes.

• Frequently broken (unavailable)
• Ranking system non-functional and always breaking
• Spammed forums
• Dead IRC channel
• No support

SACNR Monitor

• Always working (highly available)
• Ranking system very accurate and working
• No forums needed - I can harrass Blacklite on IRC as needed
• SACNR's channel has tons of folk in it
• Well-supported - Blacklite released an API recently. He is also highly involved in this community.

SACNR monitor. My only concern is the 'SACNR' in the URL as it advertises SACNR, though I suppose Blacklite deserves it for writing the system.

You can tell by my signature that I'm a SACNR fan, but that's not the reason that I prefer SACNR Monitor to Game Monitor.

I prefer SACNR Monitor for my own personal reasons (these reasons may not be relevant/helpful to others), such as:

* The Game Monitor graphs don't load properly for me. Obviously it's my problem and not theirs but SACNR Monitor's graphs load fine.

* I seem to get the "Database Down" message fairly frequently with Game Monitor, but have not once experienced downtime with SACNR Monitor.

* SACNR Monitor is only for SA:MP servers, I don't really play other games so it's nice to only have to look through SA:MP servers.

* SACNR Monitor generally loads faster for me. Again that's me and not the site, but if I want to look up a server I'm going to use the website that's the quickest for me.

* Server details on SACNR Monitor fit nicely onto one page, whereas on Game Monitor you have to click on different tabs.

* SACNR Monitor's layout and general aesthetics are, in my opinion, superior to that of Game Monitor in terms of how easy they are to read and get information from.

* It is not difficult to contact Blacklite (the owner of SACNR Monitor) with questions/suggestions/requests/criticism/bug reports - not that I have tried to contact anyone from Game Monitor, but I have heard through the grapevine that it is not as easy.



As I said, these points are most likely of no help to anyone else, but they are some of the reasons that I prefer SACNR Monitor.

Agreed, but I rather Gametracker.com as a different game tracker, I know they don't have SA:MP as a game, but wish they would add it.
