Why have hosted listings for server versions below 0.3b been deprecated?

I've personally been working on a server for 0.2x / 0.3a for a year now. There are still lots of players on previous versions and there is no real competition on the hosted list so it gives server owners a really good chance of creating a successful community.

This is the amount of servers on the 0.2x hosted list together with the amount of players:



So as you can see there are still lots of people playing!

I'd really hate to see this happen. I've worked really hard on my script.

"Once all of the SA-MP 0.2X and 0.3a Hosted tab listings expire, these lists will no longer be available. The 0.3b hosted list will remain online."

So, you're better off upgrading for 0.3b.
