Problems With Connecting To Servers/Game Starting 0.3b
#1

Hi,

A little strange problem here. I started up SA-MP this morning, selected a server, and when I click "connect" nothing happenes... The screen stays on the desktop. You will see a brief window like it was about to load it, but nothing. I'm on 0.3b, and yes, the server, or any server I'm trying to connect to is compatible.

Does the problem ly within GTA's installtion? If so, I'm screwed, as I lost the SA CD. (downloading it is going to be a pain...)

Edit: Yes, it is the 1.0 version... I've been playing for years.
Edit: Just recived my friends 1.0 crack, but the same issue.
Edit: And nope, I've made no changes ever since I played it last week.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit: Reinstalled the entire game deleting all traces of it beforehand.
Edit: Restored System useing System Restore Back 10 days ago.
Edit: Reinstalled Graphics Card Drivers.
Edit: Downgraded back to 0.3a.

Jesus Christ!! I just reinstalled the whole game, repatched, and even cracked the gta_sa.exe but, nope! The game will just not start... Not even into single player. What the hell happened? Any ideas on how to fix this? Single player manually won't even start.

Whats causing this to happen?

Check any possible changes to you're video/sound card. And ensure that gta_sa.exe is not running as a process before you press connect.

- Checked if .exe is running as a process, it is when I select a server, and only then a crash report pops up. This is useing 0.3a, not 0.3b but its the only time I get a crash report sent to me:

Try going to the installation directory of GTA San Andreas, clicking samp_debug.exe - then click Launch Debug. See if that starts up your game (you should spawn as CJ near the Vinewood sign)

Try again..and when it doesn't work press ctrl+alt+delete in order to get task manager..does the game appears to run there? If it does something is probably blocking it..check the firewall settings incase it blocks sa-mp/GtaSa..if it does put it to exeption list..
