It's good enough for hosting a large server or a few smaller ones, but if you're thinking of getting it for the hosting company in your signature you really should get something a little bit more powerful.

No, it's a rather dated processor from 2009 iirc.

Beckton based Xeon's seem to be the best right now, the Sandy Bridge (and Ivy Bridge) MA in 2011 will replace Nehalem though, so the E5520 will be pretty outdated by then.

It'll be fine for some SA:MP servers though, as long as it's not overloaded
