This one's a bit peculiar. I've recently transferred my San Andreas from my PC over to my new laptop using a memory stick. I lost the CD so I'm now running it off a crack. Anyway, most servers I see I get the old "0/0 players, 9999 ping" that would indicate I've got a connection problem, HOWEVER a small handful of servers actually do connect, and when playing on them they seem to work fine, although some have outrageously high pings going into 4 digits. So I really don't know what the fuck. When I try to connect to the ones that appear offline it's the old "connecting to xxxxx.xxxxxx.xxxx, cannot connect to server, retrying" bollocks you always get, so yeah. I'm lost. I can connect to the servers fine on my old PC with a wired connection. I've tried connecting it with a hard wire as opposed to a wireless setting but no dice, the laptop refuses to connect to any of the servers I want it to.
