Help with updating my PC?
#1

I am running about the most crappiest PC you can buy.
Vista Home Basic. Is it possible to get and install a new video card and update the ram from 1.0
to 4.0? (So it will play games like GTA4 and COD MW2?) Or does that depend also on my processer?
I don't wanna buy a new pc, i just want mine to be better, lol. And if I can't.... should I just buy a *NEW* pc?

Processor: 32 BIT AMD Sempron™ processor LE-1250 2.20 GHz.

Anything 3-4GB is going to be a massive improvement on what you have now

If you're going to update i recommend you updating the 4 most important things.

1. The motherboard (to be able to upgrade the rest, I recommend a Gigabyte motherboard for gaming components)
2. CPU (I recommend a Quad-Core (4 working cores) CPU, an Intel Q9400 is what I'm using, and it works VERY well for gaming.
3. RAM (I recommend to upgrade to 4gb and a 64-bit Operative system (also change to windows 7 if thats a possibility)
4. GFX card (Upgrade to atleast a 9600GT (9800GT 1gb version preferred)
