Help with graphics card!
#1

Ok, I've just bought this PC for christmas, Now i want to upgrade to a new graphics card:

I have been advised the the PSU might not be able to handle it, Is this the type of graphics card that needs a molex in the back or is it just a straight slot into PCI slot?.

I'm a bit scared to unscrew the PSU to see the sticker with the wattage on as it has a warranty sticker on the PSU, This is my PC:

Could my PC handle the graphics card, Please say asap as i want to order tomorrow haha

I'm pretty sure it would need rails (The molex in the back).

I think it would work, depends on whether your PSU supports rails though.

most new video cards need that from the psu, 6-pin PCI-E and 8-pin PCI-E.
you could use a peripheral('molex') -> 6pin converter, but that'll probably run your card dry and you wont get top performance

Order the card first, check what it needs, and then order the PSU. Or call the company and ask them about what it needs power wise.

it's not about the Watt's of a PSU. Please post the PSU specs. It could be a 1000W PSU... Yet be the crappiest one that will take a dump on your whole system.

Whats the amps on the 12v rail? How many rails does it have? Etc etc... A simple 350W PSU with 30A's can outperform a 700W PSU with 5A's. O, and by the way... That GPU will not run on 5A's... It will just fry out.
